Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Long Haul Truck Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight over long distances across regions, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Your expertise in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and vehicle maintenance will be essential to keep our operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks equipped for long-distance freight transportation, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Plan routes efficiently to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption, adjusting as needed for road conditions or delays.
- Ensuring proper handling and securement of cargo.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and mechanical systems, to ensure optimal performance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage logs, fuel consumption, and maintenance records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers,



and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve any issues promptly.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to minimize downtime during trips.
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy

Skills

- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver’s License).
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols for transporting sensitive or heavy cargo.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks when required during loading/unloading processes.
- Basic automotive repair skills for routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on truck and trailer.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record keeping.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively.
