Salary Grade: 14 ($87,992 - 109,990 annually).What You'll DoFinancial Reporting & Month-End ActivitiesHelp lead and coordinate month‐end close activities for AES group of companies, ensuring all entries are completed accurately and within established timelinesPrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reporting packages, and variance analysis for Executive Committee, SLT, Board, and governing committee reportingManage intercompany transactions and eliminations between AES and affiliated entitiesSupport interim and year‐end audit activities, including review and analysis of financial transactionsPrepare IFRS accounting position papers and issue memos as requiredPrepare tax provision calculations for AES legal entitiesBudgeting, Forecasting & Financial PlanningHelp lead annual budget and quarterly forecasting processes for assigned business unitsDevelop and enhance reporting templates, planning tools, and financial models to improve reporting efficiency and consistencyPartner with leadership teams to support strategic planning initiatives and financial decision‐makingProvide financial guidance and support to Project Managers related to capital project planning, tracking, reporting, and project closeoutsCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting requirementsProcess Improvement & Operational SupportEvaluate and improve financial and operational processes to strengthen internal controls and mitigate riskIdentify opportunities to streamline, standardize, or automate processes to improve operational efficiency and reporting accuracySupport the financial integration of newly acquired companies and asset purchases, including reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, financing,
and tax activitiesLead cross‐functional and departmental special projects and initiativesFinancing & Stakeholder CollaborationSupport financing activities for existing and new business lines in partnership with Treasury, lenders, and consultantsEnsure financing transactions and related payments are processed accurately and on timeBuild and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the organizationTeam SupportContribute to a collaborative, inclusive, and team‐oriented work environmentSupport compliance with Health & Safety policies, procedures, and standardsCorporate Values And ConductDemonstrate professional conduct and align with Alectra's core values of safety, teamwork, and customer focus.Other DutiesPerform additional tasks as assigned to support operational objectivesWho You AreEducation & Technical KnowledgePost‐secondary education in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related fieldCPA designation (or equivalent legacy designation such as CA, CMA, or CGA)Strong technical accounting knowledge of IFRS and US GAAPAdvanced proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and management reportingExperience working with ERP and financial reporting systems such as JDE, Cognos, Insights, or HubbleAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsExperience with budgeting and reporting automation tools is considered an assetExperienceMinimum 5 years of related experience in financial reporting, budgeting,
