We are focused on fostering an environment that’s inclusive, compassionate, innovative, and joyful.ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Manager, Quality Improvement & Patient Safety, you will guide, lead, implement and monitor clinical quality and patient safety. Working closely with clinical leadership and interprofessional teams, you will be tasked with leading and supporting the integration of quality improvement, patient safety principles and evidence‑based solutions/practice across the operations of Programs and Departments at Lakeridge Health to achieve the goal of Whole System Quality.Work closely with program leadership to ensure a standardized and consistent approach to quality of care reviews related to patient safety incidents. You will formally lead and facilitate comprehensive quality of care reviews related to critical incidents, never events and complex multi‑program reviews guiding the process to develop effective recommendations.Work closely with Program/Department Directors, Medical Directors, Chiefs, and Managers to facilitate and guide the development, implementation, or coaching of leaders on processes to integrate quality improvement, patient safety principles and evidence‑based solutions/practice across Programs/Departments to achieve excellence in the delivery of services/care.Contribute to the development,



implementation and management of initiatives related to organization‑wide and program‑specific annual improvement goals.Contribute to the evolution and implementation of our Whole System Quality approach through the utilization of skills and attributes associated with your experience and knowledge of existing and/or emerging best practices.Coordinate the Lakeridge Health accreditation process and facilitate embedding compliance with accreditation standards as part of our day‑to‑day continuous improvement activities and culture.Provide the organization with guidance on legislative changes related to expected practices, standards and structures for monitoring and reporting our quality (e.G. Excellent Care for All Act legislation, public reporting of patient safety/quality indicators, Accreditation Canada Required Organizational Practices (ROPs), etc.).Work with program leadership to ensure a standardized and consistent approach to process reviews, kaizen events and failure mode effects analysis related to quality/safety improvements.Coordinate the delivery of appropriate education, mentoring and coaching in support of quality improvement and patient safety activities such as LEAN, Six Sigma, quality improvement methodologies and patient safety practices.QualificationsBachelor’s degree (required, Clinical Healthcare field and/or Master’s preferred).Membership in good standing within a Regulated Health Discipline (required).Educational preparation in quality improvement, certificate in quality improvement or equivalent (required or in progress).Recent, related experience in health care services management in progressively more responsible and wide-ranging roles,



including a minimum of two years’ experience in quality improvement implementation and evaluation.Knowledge and experience in hospital accreditation (preferred).Proven leadership skills.Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work.Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to effectively train, coach, and mentor teams and leaders.Demonstrated ability to facilitate project teams and improvement initiatives.Excellent interpersonal, communication (presentation, written and verbal), critical thinking, attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.Experience working with a large, multisite organization.Proven ability to act as a resource to various health professionals, such as front‑line staff, managers, physicians, and directors.Strong analytical skills, including the ability to collect, analyze, share and interpret qualitative and quantitative data.High proficiency with the Microsoft Office 365 suite.Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to Lakeridge Health’s comprehensive safety programs and practices.Demonstrated commitment to our core values of Inclusion, Compassion, Innovation, Teamwork and Joy.Proven good attendance with the capability of maintaining the same standard.Successful external applicants must provide a satisfactory Criminal Investigation Reference for the vulnerable sector, dated within the past six (6) months.At Lakeridge Health, we value inclusion and diversity.
