Location:HybridReports to:Chief Executive OfficerCompensation:$85,000The OpportunityEvergreen Hospice is entering a critical phase of growth, with the development of a hospice residence and increasing demand for community-based services. To support this next phase, Evergreen is seeking a Director of Fundraising to build and lead a structured, sustainable fundraising function. This role will move Evergreen from a reactive funding approach to a proactive, strategic fundraising model—with clear ownership, strong donor relationships, and consistent revenue generation.Core Areas of Responsibility1. Fundraising Strategy & Revenue GrowthDevelop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy aligned with organizational goalsEstablish transparent revenue targets across funding streamsIdentify and prioritize opportunities for growth, including major gifts, corporate partnerships, and community fundraising2. Donor Development & StewardshipBuild and manage relationships with individual, corporate, and community donorsDevelop and implement donor stewardship and retention strategiesStrengthen donor recognition and engagement practicesLead personalized outreach and relationship management3. Grants & Funding PipelineEstablish and manage a centralized grant pipelineIdentify, track, and pursue grant opportunities aligned with organizational prioritiesOversee grant writing and reporting processesEnsure deadlines, compliance, and reporting requirements are met4. Fundraising Campaigns & EventsLead the planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and eventsStrengthen and expand existing fundraising initiatives (e.G., community events,
partnerships)Develop new fundraising opportunities aligned with community engagement5. Partnerships & Community EngagementBuild and maintain strategic partnerships with businesses, organizations, and community leadersIdentify opportunities for sponsorship and collaborationRepresent Evergreen in the community to strengthen visibility and support6. Data, Reporting & AccountabilityMaintain visibility of donor engagement and funding activityDevelop reporting structures for leadership and boardTrack progress against revenue targets and fundraising goalsImprove organization and use of donor and funding data7.
