Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Low Voltage Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems across various facilities. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of critical communication and security infrastructure, supporting the safety and efficiency of our operations.

Duties
- Install, test, and troubleshoot low voltage systems including CCTV, access control, intercoms, and alarm systems using hand tools and specialized equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute system configurations.
- Configure and maintain computer networking hardware such as Ethernet switches, Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and VoIP systems to ensure reliable data transmission.
- Support telecommunication systems including Avaya platforms and data center infrastructure to optimize communication flow.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical wiring and hardware components to identify issues before they escalate.
- Collaborate with team members on system upgrades, repairs, and new installations in commercial or data center environments.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, system configurations, and service reports for accountability and future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with computer networking concepts including Ethernet cabling, switches, routers, VLANs, and network security protocols.
- Strong understanding of computer hardware components and their integration within low voltage systems.
- Hands-on experience with CCTV installation and troubleshooting as well as familiarity with Schematics for wiring layouts.
- Knowledge of telecommunication platforms such as Avaya or similar VoIP systems.
- Electrical experience with wiring standards, circuit testing, and safety procedures is essential.
- Ability to read technical schematics accurately and follow detailed instructions diligently.
- Experience working in data centers or large-scale facility environments is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Juniper or Cisco networking equipment will be considered an advantage.
