About Westonview Partners

Westonview Partners is an independent M&A; advisory firm focused on founder-owned businesses in the lower middle market.

We are building a differentiated M&A; advisory firm that combines institutional-quality execution with private equity insight. Our clients include business owners navigating sale transactions and strategic alternatives, as well as private equity and strategic buyers pursuing acquisitions.

Since launching, the firm has established a growing track record of completed transactions and an active pipeline of M&A; mandates across a range of industries.

The Prospect

This is not a traditional junior M&A; role.

We are looking for an Associate to join at an early stage of the firm's growth and play a meaningful role in both executing transactions and building Westonview over the long term.

You will step immediately into an active deal pipeline and work directly with business owners and buyers from day one. The role will be primarily focused on deal execution, with exposure across the full M&A; lifecycle rather than being confined to a narrow workstream.

You will work directly with the firm's founder and take on significant responsibility early. As the firm grows, there will be substantial opportunity to expand your role and grow alongside the firm.

This is a full-time, in-person position based at our office in the heart of Yorkville, Toronto.

What You'll Do

Your primary responsibility will be executing M&A; advisory mandates, with additional involvement in business development and new deal origination, including:

- Working directly with business owners to understand their financial performance and transaction objectives
- Performing financial analysis, valuation and forecast modelling
- Preparing CIMs,

management presentations and other transaction materials
- Developing buyer lists and evaluating strategic fit
- Managing buyer outreach, NDAs, data rooms and transaction processes
- Supporting the evaluation of buyer proposals and transaction terms
- Coordinating financial, commercial, legal and other diligence workstreams
- Supporting business development, prospective client analysis, pitch materials and selected outbound initiatives
- Helping build and improve the firm's processes, technology stack and use of AI

Who We're Looking For

We expect the successful candidate will have 2-4 years of relevant professional experience, ideally in M&A; advisory, transaction services, investment banking, private equity or a related accounting or finance role with significant transaction exposure. The ideal candidate will bring:

- Experience working on M&A; transactions or transaction-related engagements and a genuine interest in working with founder-owned businesses
- Strong financial analysis, accounting and valuation skills
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint capabilities
- Strong proficiency with AI tools and demonstrated ability to incorporate AI effectively into professional workflows
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The confidence and judgment to interact directly with business owners and senior transaction professionals
- High attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership

- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a transaction-driven environment
- CPA designation is an asset, particularly for candidates coming from transaction advisory or accounting backgrounds

The Type of Person Who Will Thrive Here This role will suit someone who has developed a strong technical foundation but wants more ownership, more client exposure and a more direct economic connection between their contribution and the value they create.

You should be comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial workplace where there may not always be an established playbook. You will be expected to think independently, use technology intelligently, communicate directly with clients and take responsibility for getting things done.

If that is what you are looking for, joining Westonview at this stage offers an opportunity to play a meaningful role in building a growing M&A; advisory firm.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation is designed around alignment. In addition to base salary, the Associate will participate in an uncapped transaction-linked incentive plan, providing meaningful upside based on transaction fees generated by the firm and individual contribution.

- Base salary: $80,000-$90,000, based on experience
- Total cash compensation opportunity: $130,000-$180,000+, including base salary and incentive compensation. Actual cash compensation will vary based on transaction activity and individual contribution
- Health Spending Account: Company-funded HSA
- Vacation: 3 weeks

How to Apply To apply, please submit your resume through LinkedIn. We thank all applicants for their interest, however, only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
