The expected salary range for this role is intended to support transparency and informed decision making. With the two mines within the district, Island Gold and Magino employ over 900 team members who work in the underground and open pit operations and are located in northern Ontario, just east of the town of Dubreuilville, 83 kilometres northeast of Wawa. in accordance with established standardsPrep face to drill in accordance with established standardsSafely drill holes as per regulationsRequired to follow mining regulations regarding drilling on a faceSafely cap, load and blast round in accordance with established procedures.Responsible to hook up blast in accordance with established standards/proceduresAble to accurately read printsRequired to organize and direct work of their crewSafely operate scissor truckSkills, Knowledge, Qualifications and ExperienceGrade 12 education preferredMust have full common core for UndergroundStrong organizational skills with a priority for safetyMinimum 3 years as a Miner 2 in developmentMust be able to lead crews and make decisionsAbility to plan, organize, and direct work for a small crewAble to follow directions with minimal supervisionAdaptable to changing prioritiesWorking ConditionsThis position is a 14 days on 14 days off rotation switching between days and nights each run.
