The base salary offered will be determined based on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity considerations.This posting is for an existing permanent full-time vacancy.SUMMARYThe primary responsibility of the Replenishment Analyst is to ensure that stores maintain an in-stock position while operating with minimal waste. This will be accomplished by using system tools that assess sales trends, promotional requirements, and current supply and demand vs forecast. These tools will also be used to provide requirements for plant production. The incumbent will focus on reviewing data from SAP, BW and Business Objects systems. They will be accountable for the completion of specific replenishment department reports, analyzing and monitoring purchases, inventory, and service levels.SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESPrepare purchase orders and liaise with stores ensuring department objectives including service level, waste reduction and product quality are metPractice “just in time” inventory to maximize freshness and minimize shrink and wasteRegularly liaise with stores to ensure review of merchandising plans, inventory levels, and product qualityMaintain ordering criteria such as consumption, MRP and forecasting profiles in SAPAnalyze data from SAP, BW and Business Objects systems to maximize sales, inventory turns and gross marginKeep informed with regards to supply market conditions,
market opportunities and competitor activitiesEnsure that every store requirement is fulfilled daily with the freshest and highest quality product being procuredIdentify potential overstock situations proactivelyEnsure every effort is made to ship product to stores with regular vendor communication, including contingency deliveries if necessaryWork with Inventory Managers to continually improve the logistics process to reduce distribution costs and/or inventory levelsQUALIFICATIONSPost Secondary education in Supply Chain, Retail Management, Business or industry experience and knowledge1–3 years previous replenishment work, preferably in grocery retailKnowledge of perishable food products replenishmentStrong analytical skills and attention to detailStrong decision making and problem solving skillsGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to identify problems and draw upon a range of choices to formulate solutionsKnowledge in inventory and supply chain conceptsSuperior time management, priority management and organizational skillsKnowledge of SAP – Replenishment module and BW is a definite assetExcellent skills in Excel, Word, and OutlookFlexibility to adapt to changing customer demands, schedules, and working under the challenge of tight timelinesAbility to work independently and within a teamSelf-motivated with the ability to possess a outstanding sense of urgencyRELATIONSHIPSReceives direction from Senior Replenishment Analyst. Provides results to Senior Manager of Category Replenishment and Director of Procurement.
