Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and versatile General Labourer/Machine Operator and Class 1 Truck Driver to join our team. This role offers an exciting chance to contribute to a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment where hands-on work, equipment operation, and driving expertise come together. You will be responsible for operating heavy machinery, handling freight, performing general labour tasks, and safely transporting goods across various locations.

Responsibilities

- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts and other machinery to load, unload, and move freight efficiently and safely.
- Handle freight logistics by sorting, stacking, and preparing shipments for delivery or storage.
- Drive Class 1 commercial trucks to transport goods between sites, ensuring timely and secure deliveries.
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment and vehicles, including automotive repairs when necessary.
- Assist with general labour tasks such as site cleanup, material handling, and supporting other team members with operational needs.
- Conduct safety inspections of machinery,



vehicles, and work areas to maintain compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate freight movement and ensure smooth workflow throughout shifts.

Skills

- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Certification in forklift operation with proven experience in handling freight.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment operation including loaders, excavators, or similar machinery.
- Ability to perform automotive repairs or basic mechanical troubleshooting.
- Strong physical stamina for manual labour tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and follow safety protocols.
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and safety regulations related to industrial environments.
