Pentalift Equipment Corporation is currently seeking an experienced Production Supervisor, Metal Shear Operator, and Metal Band Saw Operator to join our dedicated team on our afternoon shift. This role will work out of our 87,000 sq. ft. facility located in Puslinch, ON. Shifts for these positions are Monday to Thursday from 3:30pm – 2am. You must have suitable transportation and/or your own vehicle as we are not bus accessible.

Production Supervisor Primary Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Responsibilities

- Sound understanding of health and safety legislation and regulations.
- Manage shop floor activities and employees to meet safety goals, quality and production schedules.
- Responsible to ensure employee adherence to company and legislated policies and procedures.
- Assist in the setup and/or adjustment of machines and/or equipment as required.
- Analyze and resolve work issues in a timely manner.
- Ensure products conform to specifications and to order details.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders.
- Ensure that necessary time and production records are maintained.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Improve employees' performance through coaching, training and development activities.
- Assist in disciplinary action with employees as necessary.
- Evaluate performance of staff through informal and formal reviews.

Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of supervisory experience within a manufacturing environment.




- Strong knowledge of custom welding processes and tooling. Hands-on welding experience is preferred.
- Proven leadership abilities to motivate a team.
- Experience within a machine shop and/or electro-hydraulic circuits and assembly would be considered a strong asset.
- Possess excellent verbal, written and listening skills and strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Metal Shear Operator Primary Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Primary Responsibilities

- Operate a metal shear machine
- May operate material handling equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts
- Read blue prints to determine scope of work
- Observe machine operations and verify dimensions of parts using tape measures.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area as well as work as efficiently as possible
- Work in a safe manner in accordance to legislation and Company policies. This includes working in required PPE (Steel toed boots, hearing protection, safety glasses)

Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years' hands on experience working with industrial equipment.
- Previous shear machine experience is considered a strong asset.
- Must be able to accurately read and interpret blueprints and use measuring tools.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Possess a positive attitude and work well in a team oriented environment
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment, continually adapting to change and work under pressure

Metal Band Saw Operator Primary Responsibilities and Qualifications:

Primary Responsibilities

- Mainly operate a variety of industrial saw machines.
- Experience with Hydmech band saws is an asset.




- May operate other machine shop equipment as required.
- May operate material handling equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Overhead crane experience is an asset.
- Read blue prints to determine scope of work.
- Observe machine operations and periodically verify conformance of parts to specifications using tape measures.
- May need to periodically work outside in all weather conditions.
- General duties as required.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area as well as work as efficiently as possible.
- Work in a safe manner in accordance to legislation and Company policies. This includes working in required PPE (Steel toed boots, hearing protection, safety glasses)

Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years' hands on experience working with industrial equipment. Previous saw experience considered a strong asset
- Must be able to accurately read blueprints
- Must be able to accurately use measuring tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Capable of standing for extended periods of time
- Capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Possess a positive attitude and work well in a team oriented workplace
- Ability to work in fast-paced setting, continually adapting to change and work under pressure
