Position: Maintena nce Worker lll

Facility: Lamont Health Care Centre

Status: Permanent Full Time

Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Plant Operation and Maintenance Services

Supervisor, this person is responsible for performing various maintenance duties including,

carpentry, drywall repair, painting, grounds keeping, interior and exterior building maintenance,

basic computer skills, janitorial tasks and assisting regular Maintenance Staff with various tasks as required/necessary.

Reporting to: Plant Operation and Maintenance Services Supervisor/Designate

Qualifications: 5TH OR 4TH Class Power Engineer Certification

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

- Electrical work and repairs, carpentry, drywall repair, painting,

construction and repair of cabinets.
- Minor repairs on plumbing, HVAC and Hydronic Heating Systems.
- Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team (strong team player).
- Must display judgment and initiative in dealing with emergency situations as they

relate to job functions.
- Must be self-motivated and self-directed with a high degree of foresight.
- Able to work with minimum supervision.




- Be able to fulfill physical tasks such as climbing ladders, stairs, carrying heavy

loads, crawling in tight spots.
- Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must conduct himself/herself in a professional manner.
- Ability to adhere to the Health Care Centre’s Mission, Philosophy, Values and Code

of Conduct. Hours: Days, Weekends, Stat Holidays, On-call Rotation / 7.75 hours per day

Salary: As per the Multi-Employer and AUPE GSS Collective Agreement
