Position SummaryThe Materials Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and controlling materials, equipment, and consumables to support project execution. This role ensures that materials are available at the right time, in the correct quantity, and at the appropriate cost while maintaining compliance with company policies, HSE standards, and industry regulations.Project DetailsSite: Cenovus Christina Lake North plant8/6 rotation$300/shift travel allowanceCamp accommodations providedCore AccountabilitiesCoordinate procurement, receipt, storage, and distribution of materials for all project activitiesForecast material requirements based on work schedules, maintenance plans, and project timelinesTrack material usage and inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess stockLiaise with procurement, warehouse, logistics, and operations teams to ensure timely deliveryEstablish procedures for material storage and handlingMaintain accurate inventory records in ERP systemsConduct regular stock counts and audits; investigate and resolvediscrepanciesEnsure proper storage, labeling, and preservation of materials and equipmentManage obsolete, surplus, and damaged materials according to company proceduresCoordinate inbound and outbound logistics, including freight forwarding and documentationExpedite critical materials to meet operational or project deadlinesCoordinate logistics for transporting materials to project sites, including shipping schedules, documentation,
and delivery confirmationsTrack shipments and provide status updates to stakeholdersOversee distribution of materials to FIWP requirementsMonitor material costs and support cost control initiativesPrepare materials reports, including inventory status, consumption, and forecastsSupport project close-out activities by reconciling materials and documentationEnsure compliance with company policies, contractual requirements, and regulatory standardsSupport HSE requirements related to handling, storage, and transportation of materialsMaintain complete and accurate materials documentation and recordsQualifications2-4 years of working experience in a related fieldExperience reviewing standards, codes, and requirements and applying them in the fieldPrevious experience working in an industrial construction industryAbility to read and interpret Material Test Reports (MTRs)Ability to read P&ID and isometrics (asset)Excellent communication and people management skillsDynamic, self-disciplined, and highly motivatedFlexible and capable of working under pressureMust successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testingCapable of working as part of a teamFluent in speaking and reading EnglishMust be able to follow directionsMicrosoft Excel, Word, and SharePoint experience (asset)Equal Opportunity EmploymentStrike Group is an Equal Prospect Employer.
