OpportunityONCAP is seeking a Data Scientist to support the AI, Analytics, and Data function within one of its portfolio companies. The selected candidate will be assigned to a specific portfolio company based on business needs and will contribute to a variety of projects that drive value creation within the portfolio company and across ONCAP.What You Will DoCustomer Data & InsightsSegment customer data to drive targeted marketing and personalization strategies.Develop and maintain weekly, periodic, and quarterly reports using Power BI or similar tools.Collaborate with business teams to leverage data in alignment with growth priorities.Explore AI‑driven personalization opportunities to optimize customer engagement.Operations Analytics & OptimizationConduct in-depth operational analyses to identify performance drivers, uncover improvement opportunities, and address key business challenges.Develop insights to optimize revenue and working capital performance.Business Strategy & Growth AnalyticsAnalyze data to determine cost‑effective strategies for delivering products or services.Provide insights into customer behavior to enhance sustainable growth.Technology & IT Efficiency AssessmentAssess current data and technology platforms to identify opportunities for greater efficiency and effectiveness.TargetingLeverage AI and data‑driven targeting techniques to identify, evaluate, and prioritize high‑potential acquisition targets aligned with the fund’s investment thesis.What You Will BringProfessional Characteristics1‑3 years relevant experience in data science and analytics.Expert proficiency in BI tools, programming and querying languages including Power BI (or Tableau), Python, SQL, and strongly typed and/or functional languages a plus.A strong intuition for analytical methodologies and desire to solve novel technical challenges.Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy, consistency,
