We are looking for a team player who is committed to providing the highest level of service to our clients and helping us build our reputation as the preferred business advisors in our marketplace.
As a Manager, Privately Held Business Group your responsibilities will include: Contributing to new business development by understanding all Doane Grant Thornton services and by using your credibility in the field
Acting as a leader in the business unit, service line, and firm by actively contributing to the development and execution of the office business plan
Analysis and review of corporate and personal income tax returns, NTRs and compilations
Planning and leading teams to ensure that client expectations are exceeded
Supervision and mentoring of an accounting team, including the review of files
Leading through the coaching and performance management process of the practice by providing ongoing feedback, conducting timely performance reviews, and delivering training to develop team members
Think you’ve got what it takes to be a Manager, Privately Held Business Group? CPA designation is a strong asset
5+ years’ experience in public accounting or related industry strongly focused in tax and accounting
Commitment to quality, excellence and continual professional growth for yourself and for those you manage
Strong management skills, especially in areas of scheduling, organizing, supervising and multi-team managing

At Doane Grant Thornton, we believe compensation should reflect more than just market data—it should reflect Our salary ranges are reviewed annually, and where you land within the range depends on a mix of factors— your background, your skills, and how your contributions align with internal equity . To help start the conversation, the current salary range for this role is $74,900–$103,100 in London. If the role is available in other locations, the range may differ to reflect local market factors.
That’s why we’re working in a model where teams are required to be together in the office 4 days per week.
