Position Summary The Manufacturing Technician supports operations through hands-on mechanical fabrication, precision machining, robotic equipment assembly, and project administration. This role demands a high level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and flexibility—spanning manual/CNC machining, quality control, equipment repair, and cross-functional support across shop departments (including the Mold Shop).

Key Responsibilities

- Machining & Fabrication: Set up and operate manual machining equipment (mills and lathes) to repair, modify, or fabricate precision parts according to technical drawings; perform first-article inspections.
- Quality Control: Conduct precise inspection checks using measuring tools; adjust programs and tooling to maintain strict tolerances.
- Robotics & Mechanical Assembly: Assemble, disassemble, clean, and repair specialized robotic equipment to support operational requirements.
- Operational & Administrative Support: Provide project administrative support, including equipment/manpower coordination, document management, project setup, timesheet validation, and invoice requests.
- Cross-Functional Shop Operations:



Provide continuous support in the Machine, Fabrication, and Mold Shops as operational demands require; resolve unique manufacturing challenges.
- Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop environment.

Qualifications & Requirements

Mandatory Requirements

- Manual Machining Experience: 4+ years of experience operating manual mills and lathes to manufacture precision parts from engineering drawings.
- CNC Machining Experience: 2+ years of experience operating 3- or 4-axis CNC milling machines.
- Technical Drawing Literacy: Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical detail and assembly drawings.
- Physical Demands & Tools: Skilled with hand tools and physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Education: High School Diploma or Technical Degree/Diploma preferred.
- Core Competencies: Strong work ethic, adaptability, problem-solving skills, and excellent verbal/written communication skills.

Considered Assets

- Experience machining exotic or specialized industrial materials.
- Experience with induction brazing, MIG/TIG welding, or sinker EDM processes.
- Hands-on knowledge of epoxy/urethane resin casting.
- CAD/CAM programming experience (GibbsCAM or equivalent).
- Advanced knowledge of 3- and 4-axis CNC setup and machining processes.
