Start your journey with Sodexo, as we continue to grow across Canada!Job DescriptionAs a member of our food services team, you will always provide the highest quality of customer service while preparing or serving food to customers.Under the general supervision of the Chef Manager, prepare and cook foodstuffs in quantities according to menu and number of persons to be served.Set up, maintain, and break down station according to food operating guidelines.Taste all products produced to assess quality.Notify Sous Chef and/or Executive Chef of all product shortages and equipment maintenance issues.Prepare and serve items in accordance with established portion and presentation standards.Maintain accurate counts on all food items prepared, ensuring no discrepancies between amount of food needed and amount of food prepared.Use food preparation equipment according to manufacturer’s instructions.Clean and maintain station while practicing exceptional safety,
sanitation and organizational skills.Follow defined food sanitation guidelines in preparation of food product and maintaining work environment.Requisition supplies and equipment as needed.Clean and sanitize workstations and equipment.Attend all allergy and foodborne illness in‑service training.Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures and all Sodexo HACCP policies and procedures.Participate in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.Report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsWhat You’ll Need to Succeed:Required: Food Safe Level I is minimum.
