What you’ll doWe’re looking for an experienced Product Marketing Manager to own the positioning, messaging, and go‑to‑market strategy for Stripe Apps, Marketplace and broader partner ecosystem. This is a combined role at the intersection of product, partnerships, and marketing — responsible for defining how the world sees Stripe’s ecosystem of apps, integrations and partner solutions as a strategic differentiator. You’ll treat both the Stripe App Marketplace and the broader partner ecosystem as your “product.” Your work will ensure that our ecosystem is marketed as a cohesive, world‑class strategic advantage for Stripe. You’ll define the value proposition of the Marketplace and broader ecosystem for developers, customers, partners, and internal teams — with clear messaging for both supply (partners building on Stripe) and demand (users adopting solutions).Build messaging and competitive positioning frameworks that show how our ecosystem extends Stripe’s core products and differentiates us versus alternatives.Partner with Product, Partnerships, PMM, and Partner Marketing to launch current Apps and Marketplace categories and ecosystem solutions — ensuring they’re woven into product launches and big moments (Sessions, Tour, announcements).Develop GTM playbooks, solution briefs, pitch decks, and battlecards so field teams can sell ecosystem and Marketplace solutions.Collaborate with Partner Marketing on case studies, demand generation, and narratives that showcase ecosystem adoption and network effects.Track adoption patterns, benchmark against competitors,
and provide insights to product and partnerships teams on where to invest. Engage Analyst Relations to elevate Stripe’s ecosystem visibility externally.Who you areA storyteller with deep empathy for users and ability to adapt communication to reach and engage audiences — from developers to technical and non‑technical founders. Excellent verbal and written skills.Structured and strategic, bringing order to complexity and distilling ambiguous inputs into clear frameworks, roadmaps, and priorities.Data‑oriented, working with data and insights to generate balanced, thoughtful points of view for how to take products to market.Organized, managing highly interdependent, complex projects and keeping various work streams on track.Ambitious, eager to impact at Stripe, thriving in a fast‑moving environment and working fluidly between strategy and detail.A team player collaborating across Product, Partnerships, Partner Marketing, PMM, Sales, Design, Comms, and Developer Relations, influencing without authority.Ecosystem‑mindful, thinking of platforms, network effects, and partner value chains instead of individual product lines.AI‑fluent, actively using AI tools to accelerate research, content creation, and analysis,
and bringing that lens to positioning work.Minimum Requirements5-7 years of relevant work experience spanning product marketing, platform/ ecosystem marketing, partner marketing, or product management. At least 3-5 years of marketing or go‑to‑market experience in a B2B SaaS or platform environment.Experience positioning and marketing a marketplace, ecosystem, or platform product.Experience working cross‑functionally with product, partnerships, and sales teams.Experience developing positioning frameworks, competitive analysis, and GTM strategies.Preferred QualificationsExperience marketing a developer‑facing marketplace or app ecosystem.Familiarity with partner program structures and how marketplaces drive distribution and adoption.Experience with startup founder or developer audience. Background in payments, fintech, or infrastructure platforms.Pay and BenefitsThe annual U.S. base salary range for this role is $143,300 – $214,900.
