Working closely with the Executive Director, theEvent Coordinatoris responsible for:Planning and coordinating local events with attention to financial and time constraintsSourcing sponsorships, fundraising, and managing cash flowOverseeing logistics and coordinating with the Town of MidlandSecuring talent and vendors, then maintaining consistent communication and relationshipsCreating itineraries and managing schedulingDistributing promotional materials, including tickets for certain eventsCommunicating and coordinating with the BIA membershipImproving the overall visitor experience of the downtown areaWhat we’re looking for:Experience/post-secondary education in tourism, event planning, or project managementCreative, adaptable, detail-oriented, hard-working, organized and dependableStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenKnowledge/experience using newsletter software, G‑Suite, Canva, social‑media platformsAvailable to work during planned events or some weekends (flexible schedule)Must be able to work effectively without any supervisionMust be able to work full-time on-site at 208 King Street in Midland, Ontario and around the downtown Midland areaRequirements and Qualifications:This role is part of the 2025 Canada Summer Jobs program for individuals aged 15-30.
