French Immersion Priority Teacher (Elementary)Term ContractDistrict Wide – West Vancouver SchoolsEffective September 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027The annual salary for a full time teaching position ranges from $63,347 to $116,190, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the West Vancouver Teachers' Association Collective Agreement. Salary will be prorated based on FTE.This is a French Immersion Priority Teacher assignment at the elementary level. The successful candidate must be available Monday to Friday, is expected to accept dispatch calls on every regular school day, and is expected to participate in professional development days, subject to illness or approved leave. The dispatches could be to any of our elementary sites but will be primarily at the two elementary French Immersion sites.This teacher will be placed in an elementary French Immersion prospect that arises during the course of the school year and that the teacher is qualified for (e.G., maternity leave, medical leave,



etc.)The successful candidate will be eligible for full extended health and dental benefits, in accordance with the Collective Agreement.Required Qualifications and Experiencevalid British Columbia teaching certification from the BC Teacher Regulation Branchdemonstrated fluency in spoken and written French appropriate for French Immersion instructionexperience teaching in a French Immersion setting at the elementary and/or secondary levelknowledge of and experience implementing the BC Curriculumability to deliver instruction, classroom routines, and student support in Frenchdemonstrated ability to establish positive, inclusive learning environmentseffective classroom management skillsstrong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skillsflexibility and adaptability to work across a variety of school settings and grade levelsexperience integrating technology to support student learning#J-18808-Ljbffr
