The Administrator, Laboratory works independently to gather, analyze information, and communicate with partners and/or key stakeholders. The Administrator, Laboratory is responsible for a broad range of activities related to the accreditation of medical facilities within the program's specified area.Key ResponsibilitiesGather and analyze a broad spectrum of information relating to:Requirements and internal procedures from the initiation and completion of facility/service accreditationPre and post registration/re-certificationAccreditation applications and supporting documentation to determine the flow for process approvalLiaise and correspond with facility staff, physicians, medical directors, agencies, assessors and other key partners and/or stakeholders to:Provide information on accreditation/approval requirements and processEnsure the full and accurate records and documents are received for the accreditation processPrepare and correspond (interim and full approval status, pre and post Advisory Committee decisions) and pre and post accreditation reviewsProcess financial transactions including invoicingEstablish and maintain accurate records, including:Registry database (DOC); financial transactions and payments; and equipment filesActivities/steps relating to accreditation assessmentsTrack re-certification of equipmentSharePoint Committee sites, including working directly with partners and/or stakeholders and Committee members to ensure and maintain appropriate accessCPSA data base and assessment tracking systemFacility profiles and maintaining facility changes and notifying Alberta Health as appropriateMaintain standards and accreditation documents and communicate changes to all partners and/or stakeholders and CPSA Communications for web updates.Collaborate with the Senior Manager and Program Advisor on:Incoming assessment citation documents and reportsAdvisory Committee meetings,
including being back-up when necessaryReport review and formattingSupport program expert panel roster and dossier items for Medical Facility Accreditation Committee (MFAC) through secretarial and administrative assistance, including the scheduling and recording of minutes, active committee member roster maintenance and miscellaneous activities, as requiredProvides administrative assistance to the team, as necessaryOther duties, as required.QualificationsRequired Minimum Qualifications:Certificate program, in which administrative skills would typically be obtained3 years of administrative experiencePreferred Qualifications and Experience:1 year post-secondaryAdvanced communication skills, both verbal and writtenFamiliarity with general medical terminology and healthcare servicesProficient and self-directed time management and organizational skillsAbility to multitask and perform as part of a teamExpertise with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access) and Adobe productsSalaryThe annual salary for this position is $69,342 and includes a comprehensive benefit package, including a pension plan.During the 90-day probationary period, the successful candidate will be required to work from CPSA's downtown Edmonton office.
