Marketing and Communications Specialist - Temporary Full Time

Location: Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario

We are looking for a dynamic Marketing Specialist to fulfill a temporary, 6-12 month contract with possibility of extension, to support our marketing division.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

- Creates graphics and content for the website and online store.
- Assists with maintaining the company website and online store across all locations
- Works with the Soo Mill team to develop ideas for marketing campaigns and to determine advertising priorities
- Monitors and optimizes digital campaigns to ensure objectives and KPI's are being met – maximizing both campaign delivery and return on investment
- Creates and executes innovative, eye-catching designs for a variety of our custom products, including – vehicle & trailer wraps, signs, posters & advertising literature, all clothing/uniforms/swag
- Assists in identifying potential partnership opportunities to enhance our brand visibility and market reach
- Maintains all staff communication platforms
- Develops and implements social media strategies to increase online presence, brand recognition and customer engagement
- Creates, schedules and publishes high quality, engaging content across various social media platforms. Executes social media advertising campaigns to reach targeted audiences
- Monitors and responds to customer inquiries and comments
- Self-develops in current technologies relevant to the business’ marketing & advertising environment




- Assist with planning customer and staff events

Education and Experience
- A diploma or degree in a related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or work experience
- 3-4 years of directly related experience supporting Marketing/Advertising initiatives (Recent college and university graduates in this field of expertise may also be considered if sufficient practical experience has been demonstrated)
- Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video). Experience in adobe creative suite is an asset
- Expertise in multiple media platforms, including Facebook and Instagram
- Willingness to learn about, or an interest in the building/design industry
