Located in the beautiful West Kootenay region of southeastern, British Columbia, Trail offers outdoor adventure at your fingertips.Role OverviewTeck is looking for an experienced Apprentice, Pipefitter to join our team at Trail Operations, reporting to the Group Leader.Key ResponsibilitiesBe a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and proceduresRepair and maintain a wide variety of complex piping systems that are integral to the operation’s activitiesPerform preventative maintenance and fabrication workAble to work independently or as part of a teamQualificationsCompletion of Grade 12 and currently indentured as a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice pipefitterJourneyperson Plumber with transferable hours will also be consideredWHMIS certification is an assetRelated industrial maintenance experienceKnowledge of computerized maintenance management systems considered an assetIn addition, our Apprentices receive a variety of advantages including:Financial assistance to help with travel and relocation costsTeck covers the cost of required technical training and schooling for the apprenticeship program, including tuition, mandatory textbooks,
