Teaching Position – Secondary Generalist and Elementary Prep TeacherSchool District No. 10 – Arrow Lakes, located on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Sinixt, Sylix, Ktunaxa, and Secwepemc Peoples, offers a temporary teaching contract for the 2026‑2027 school year.PositionSecondary and Elementary Prep Teacher – Lucerne Elementary Secondary School – 1.0 FTE, Temporary Contract – Effective September 1, 2026 – June 30, 2027 – Salary Range: $67,040 – $119,548Position OverviewSchool District 10 is committed to fostering a collaborative community of learning grounded in strong academics, overall well‑being, and a meaningful connection to the land. Experience and SkillsA valid Teaching Certificate from the BC Teacher Regulation BranchSuccessful secondary teaching experience – experience with multi‑grade classes is an assetDemonstrated ability in planning and designing engaging learning activities using the BC curriculumStrong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team environmentExcellent classroom management skills and proven ability to engage all learnersAbility to differentiate for all learners and co‑plan for diversity and engagementSuccessful experience integrating socio‑emotional learning and self‑regulated learningDemonstrated understanding of Indigenous cultures, and experience integrating First Peoples of the Principles of Learning into teaching practiceSuccessful experience facilitating outdoor learning experiences with a focus on place consciousness and cross‑curricular learningCommitment to co‑developing the School Growth Plan and collaboratively organizing for learningExemplary use of assessment strategies that engage learners and foster learningProfessional learning inquiry experience that informs practiceCommitment and expertise in building relationships with parents and communityAll applicants should provide evidence of relevant expertise and experience.
