We are seeking a passionate and highly capable Middle School Math Teacher who can build strong mathematical foundations, develop confident problem-solvers, and prepare students to excel in high school mathematics and advanced academic pathways, including AP-level courses.

Our goal is not simply to help students complete the curriculum. We want students to understand mathematics deeply, think critically, and enter high school academically prepared and confident.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach Mathematics to students in Grades 6–8 with clarity, structure, and high expectations.
- Strengthen essential foundations in:
- Number sense and operations
- Fractions, decimals, percentages and ratios
- Algebraic thinking
- Geometry and measurement
- Data management and probability
- Mathematical reasoning and problem-solving
- Identify and close learning gaps before students enter high school.
- Provide enrichment and appropriate academic challenge for students who are ready to advance.
- Develop students' ability to explain their mathematical thinking and solve unfamiliar problems independently.
- Prepare Grade 8 students for a smooth transition into Grade 9 Mathematics and future advanced/AP-level study.
- Use assessments and student performance data to monitor progress and adjust instruction.
- Provide additional support or intervention when students are struggling.




- Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress, areas for improvement, and enrichment opportunities.
- Collaborate with school leadership and other teachers to maintain consistent academic standards.

- Has strong knowledge of middle school mathematics.
- Understands how Grades 6–8 concepts connect to high school Algebra, Functions, Geometry, and advanced mathematics.
- Can teach both struggling learners and academically advanced students.
- Believes in building mastery before acceleration.
- Sets high expectations while providing students with the support needed to succeed.
- Is organized, dependable, professional, and committed to continuous improvement.
- Creates a classroom where students are encouraged to think, ask questions, persevere, and take responsibility for their learning.
