With over 1,700 employees across 44 locations in North America, we provide exciting employment opportunities that can drive your future growth.Join us at Inland Truck & Equipment and go ALL IN on a career that has it all.This position is located at our sales and service dealership in Langley, BC.THE OPPORTUNITYBody Shop Apprentice Technicians will be responsible for repairing and replacing damaged heavy trucks according to dealership and factory specifications and providing high quality body repairs to restore unit to original factory standards under the supervision of a qualified Body Shop Truck & Transport Technician, while also fulfilling the education and training requirements of the apprenticeship.Your ResponsibilitiesPerforms work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.Repairs damaged body parts of trucks and trailers.Performs required frame repairs.Performs straightening of differential housings.Performs electrical troubleshooting on accident repairs.Analyzes customers’ truck performance complaints, diagnoses cause of any malfunctions, and performs repair.Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.Communicates with service advisor/shop foreman or lead hand, immediately, if additional work is needed,



if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.Keeps shop area neat and clean after each repair. Returns all common tools that were used in the repair to their designated storage place.Becomes familiar with and complies with the company’s Health & Safety Manual.What We Look ForMust be willing to attend Apprenticeship Training (travel may be required) each year while working towards the Truck & Transport Technician Certificate.Working towards Licensed Truck & Transport Technician certification.Computer skills required to perform required computer documentation.Ability to weld/fabricate steel and aluminum is an asset.Regular, full attendance is an essential function of the job.Valid Driver’s License preferred: Class 3 with Airbrake Endorsement or Class 1 (to test drive truck & trailer).Ability to proactively problem‑solve and think logically.Positive mechanical aptitude.Strong interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to work in harmony with others.Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 kgs or 50 pounds.Must be able to walk around body shop floor and exterior yard area (long periods standing / walking).Must have the mobility to easily access and egress trucks and equipment.Must be willing and able to work various shifts, possibly including weekends.Must be willing and able to work overtime when required.PAY RANGEThe pay range for this position is between $29.00 and $48.00 per hour, depending on experience.Canada Benefits PackageOur employees receive a generous benefits package including:Extended Medical (including Vision)DentalPrescription benefitsRRSP with employer matching programLong Term and Short Term DisabilityLife Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment InsurancePaid Time OffOn‑going training opportunitiesAnnual tool and boot allowances#J-18808-Ljbffr
