Join Nova Scotia's Public Works team as a Spare Winter Equipment Operator. Successful candidates will engage in two weeks of paid training, followed by hands-on experience in plowing operations. You will operate snow removal equipment, ensuring protected and effective service in varying weather conditions.
Key Responsibilities: • Operate snowplows and equipment under supervision • Conduct pre-and-post trip inspections on machinery • Maintain daily logs and complete inspection reports • Perform general maintenance on snow removal equipment • Assist in road repairs and traffic control as needed
Requirements: • Minimum two years of relevant experience or equivalent training • Class III license with air brake endorsement • Strong reading and writing skills for documentation • Familiarity with hydraulic systems is beneficial • Flexible and self-motivated in all weather conditions
