This is a senior-level mechanical position suited to a Journeyperson or 4th Year Apprentice with strong troubleshooting skills and broad hands-on mechanical experience. We're looking for someone who can work independently, diagnose problems, and take repairs from initial troubleshooting through to completion.

What You'll Do

As a Mechanic at MANTL, you'll help keep our equipment, vehicles, and operations running safely and efficiently by:

- Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing a variety of heavy-duty and light equipment
- Performing machine troubleshooting, repair, assembly, and preventative maintenance
- Conducting equipment inspections, system diagnostics, and component replacement
- Dismantling, repairing, and reassembling equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and recommended standards
- Identifying mechanical failures and determining appropriate repair solutions
- Completing repairs and maintenance on company vehicles, trucks, trailers, and equipment
- Establishing and completing scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) requirements
- Using diagnostic equipment, tools, manuals, and technical information to troubleshoot issues
- Performing light welding and fabrication as required
- Maintaining accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections
- Working with other departments to support operational and equipment needs
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment




- Following all MANTL safety policies and procedures

What We're Looking For The ideal candidate is an experienced mechanic who:

- Has strong mechanical aptitude and advanced troubleshooting skills
- Can independently diagnose mechanical problems and determine appropriate repairs
- Has experience working with a variety of mechanical systems and equipment
- Takes ownership of repairs and follows work through to completion
- Takes pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail
- Is reliable, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Works well as part of a team
- Is adaptable and comfortable working on different types of equipment
- Understands the importance of working safely and efficiently

Qualifications We're looking for an experienced candidate with one of the following or a comparable mechanical background:

- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician
- 4th Year Heavy Equipment Technician Apprentice
- Journeyperson Automotive Service Technician
- 4th Year Automotive Service Technician Apprentice
- Journeyperson Millwright
- Other equivalent mechanical certification and experience may be considered

This position is intended for an experienced mechanic who has the knowledge and practical experience to independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete mechanical repairs.

Work Environment

This position is based out of our Slave Lake location and involves hands-on mechanical work in a busy oil and gas environment. You'll work with a variety of equipment while supporting the day-to-day needs of the operation.

Schedule

- Permanent, full-time position
- 40+ hours per week
- Day shift
- Weekend or additional hours may be required based on operational needs

Pay: $23.31-$47.91 per hour
