Hello, I’m Anthony Chacon, Recruitment Advisor at FED ManuTech, specializing in engineering, technical and manufacturing positions. I’m currently recruiting a Mechanical Designer for a manufacturing company specializing in custom industrial equipment and automation solutions. This position offers a hands-on engineering setting where you’ll be involved in mechanical design, technical problem-solving and close collaboration with the production floor.

Design machines and mechanical modules based on assigned projects, budgets and technical requirements. Select appropriate materials and components based on application requirements. Perform the necessary calculations related to loads, speeds, durability and other technical requirements.

Create and maintain assembly and manufacturing drawings. Follow projects through the manufacturing process. Validate drawings and new mechanical concepts directly on the production floor. Work with production teams to validate corrections related to design or manufacturing issues.

Follow engineering quality procedures and standards. Permanent, full-time position, 40 hours per week.



Friday afternoons off year-round, with the workday ending at 1:00 p.m. Minimum 3 weeks of annual vacation.

Your profile University degree in Mechanical Engineering or a DEC in Mechanical Engineering Technology. 3 to 10 years of mechanical design experience, ideally in an industrial or custom manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of Inventor and/or AutoCAD. Practical understanding of mechanical systems, including drive systems, mechanisms, conveyors, steel structures, process piping, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and fluid applications.
