Role Description The Mechatronics Engineer role at Studio 63 Inc. is a full-time, on-site position based in Nepean, ON. The engineer will design, develop, and integrate mechanical, electrical, and control systems into innovative products.

Day-to-day responsibilities include 3D CAD, creating system architectures, selecting components, developing schematics, basic software and collaborating with industrial designers to ensure seamless integration of electronics and mechanics. The role involves building and testing prototypes,



diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and supporting maintenance and repair strategies for products going intro production. The engineer will also contribute to documentation, participate in design reviews, and coordinate with manufacturing partners to ensure designs are manufacturable, reliable, and aligned with project timelines.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Mechatronics, with the ability to integrate mechanical systems, electronics, and control software.
- Applied experience in Electrical Engineering, including circuit design, power management, and system integration.
- Hands-on skills in Electronics and Electromechanics, such as sensor integration, actuator control, and hardware debugging.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics
- Proficiency with CAD tools, schematic design software, and common laboratory instruments (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications, and to collaborate effectively with industrial design and manufacturing teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
