POSITION: Medical Device Reprocessing/ Operating Room Support / Environmental Aide

Key Qualifications

- Completion of a recognized MDRD certification course within the last 5 years or in willingness to renew upon hire
- Recent or current MDRD experience required
- Experience in a Plastic Surgery or private clinic setting an asset
- Previous Housekeeping / OR support experience an asset
- Effective written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skills to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Must be a self-directed individual with well-developed organizational skills




- Strong communicator, interacting with the multidisciplinary team with care and respect
- Willingness to work in an everchanging, fast paced environment where detail and accuracy is imperative
- Positive work and attendance record are required
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position

Position Summary:
- Ensures equipment, supplies and instrumentation are available for surgical cases
- OR support during surgical days (primarily Tuesdays or Wednesdays)
- Housekeeping duties throughout clinic including patient suites and consultation rooms
- Cleaning and reprocessing of surgical instrumentation/equipment
- Cleaning and disinfecting public areas following PIDAC guidelines
- Washing floors, ceilings and walls during terminal cleans
- Biohazardous waste handling
- Other related duties as assigned
- Works in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
