The opportunityAssociated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, employee‑owned company, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Intermediate Civil CAD Design Technologist to join our team in the Markham office. The successful candidate will have 5+ years of relevant experience and work in the Infrastructure Division on municipal projects including roads, water main, sanitary sewers, and storm system designs. The role will also include supporting civil infrastructure design on facilities projects for our Water and Buildings Divisions. Working with a dynamic team in a collaborative work environment, the Intermediate Civil CAD Design Technologist will be based out of Markham but may be expected to collaborate with our other offices in Ontario and across the practice on occasion. the duties include those specified under the Occupational Health & Safety Act.Does this sound like you?Diploma in Engineering Technology from an accredited post‑secondary institution.Certification with OACETT (C.E.T. or C.Tech.) is an asset.5+ years of progressive civil design experience in municipal infrastructure projects, with work in Ontario being an asset.Multi‑discipline design experience and project delivery coordination is an asset.Familiarity with applicable local municipal design codes, OTM manuals and TAC design manuals is an asset.Be proficient in the use of Civil 3D.Demonstrated experience with the latest version of AutoCAD.Experience in Bentley products would also be an asset.Experience working for a consulting engineering firm is an asset.Experience with coordinating CAD production activities and inputs from multiple team members is an asset.Excellent analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong communication and organizational skills.Excellent attention to detail.AE is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages women, Indigenous peoples, persons with disabilities, members of visible minorities, and members of the LGBTQ+ community to apply.
