About the Role
Reporting to the Program Lead or designate, and working closely with an interdisciplinary team, the LPN provides nursing care to an assigned group of patients and residents in accordance with established policies, procedures, and the Standards of Practice for Licensed Practical Nurses in British Columbia.
As an LPN, you will:
- Deliver safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care.
- Conduct assessments and contribute to the development of care plans.
- Implement and evaluate nursing interventions.
- Document patient information and advocate for patient and resident needs.
- Collaborate with RNs, RPNs, physicians, and allied health professionals.
- Participate in care conferences and team meetings.
- Support the orientation of recent staff and students.
- Respond to and report incidents according to established procedures.
Qualifications
- Graduation from a recognized Practical Nursing program, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Eligible for registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
