Description The Opportunity
Do you have a passion for supporting individuals living with Alzheimer’s or dementia, and the leadership skills to inspire a dedicated care team? As the Memory Living Manager at Chartwell, you’ll lead a specialized neighborhood that focuses on the social impact of Alzheimer’s and dementia, creating a secure, engaging, and relationship-centered home.
Your role will be the bridge between residents, families, and team members—ensuring everyone works together to deliver the highest quality of life possible.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and oversee all aspects of the Memory Living Neighborhood, ensuring program standards are met
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with residents and families as the primary point of contact
- Develop and implement individualized, person-centered life plans
- Support and coach team members, fostering a positive, collaborative work environment
- Coordinate family conferences, care meetings, and educational opportunities
- Ensure the neighborhood workplace is clean, safe, and engaging
- Promote meaningful daily activities that encourage spontaneity and social connection
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum of two years' experience working with individuals living with Alzheimer’s or dementia in a residential setting
- Minimum of two years' experience in a healthcare or senior living management, preferred
- Current nursing license (RPN/LPN)
in the province of employment and, or a degree in gerontology, social work/social service worker, therapeutic recreation, or related field
- Specialized training in dementia care methods (GPA, P.I.E.C.E.S., Montessori, Dementia ability), an asset
- Exceptional communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership abilities with a track record of fostering team collaboration
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Valid Driver’s License, or reliable means of transportation

- Flexible availability, including potential evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts
- Ability to respond effectively to emergency situations
- Willingness to travel within the province for training or support
- Commitment to confidentiality and health & safety standards
- Comfort using AI and other digital platform systems and tools to support daily work
- Clear Criminal Background Check, VSS and TB Test where required
