These individuals will be responsible for maintaining stationary and mobile industrial machinery and equipment in a fast-paced environment. Employees may be assigned to positions on surface (in the mill or maintenance shop) or underground (in the mine). Employees will be expected to work on all three shifts (days/afternoons/midnights) and work overtime as required.Please note that candidates will be required to successfully complete a background check and medical/audio exam upon offer acceptance.



Windsor Salt is a unionized facility (Unifor Local 1959); successful candidates will be required to join the union upon commencement of employment.Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperate all mining equipment and lubricate equipment in a safe and efficient mannerComplete inspection sheets, timecards, work orders, and other reportsClearly communicate work and status updates with peers and supervisorsSupport hoist and shaft work as neededPerform troubleshooting on various equipmentRead and utilize hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics associated with equipmentUtilize computers and CMMS systemsComplete proper installations of systems and components on stationary and mobile equipmentAssist in the training of employees of lesser skillPerform greasing, cleaning, and inspecting of equipment, including the safe and proficient operation of the fuel truckTrain other employees in safe job procedures of mechanic workMaintain a clean and hazard-free workplace at all timesContribute to the maintenance team by accomplishing other duties as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAt least 3 years of experience in a mechanic position,
