NAC is hiring a Mobile Crane Operator to run our 65T RT crane, initially based on the Nobleton Water Resource Recovery Facility Upgrade project in Schomberg, ON.

Responsibilities:

- Check heavy equipment using approved circle check procedures before operating them to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
- Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances.
- Hoist rebar, formwork, lumber, etc.
- Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor in order to facilitate prompt correction or reporting.
- Diagnose / identify defects in heavy duty equipment.
- Clean, lubricate and perform other minor maintenance work.
- Instruct apprentices as required.
- Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, including equipment preparation, application of safe practices,



compliance with applicable Acts and regulations.
- Assist in loading and unloading of equipment.

Requirements:

- Ontario or Interprovincial Mobile Crane Operators license, 339A – Hoisting Engineer, Mobile Crane Operator 1: for mobile cranes capable of lifting more than 8 tonnes / 16,000 lbs, up to unlimited capacity.
- Must display competency in mobile crane operation, specifically the 65T RT crane.
- Knowledge of construction equipment safety.
- Knowledge of equipment maintenance, techniques and storage.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to perform routine equipment maintenance.
- Demonstrated organizational skills with strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be self-directed and able to work with little supervision.
