This role is responsible for managing operational accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, resident billing, reconciliations, and month-end support while working closely with residence operations teams. The position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial records, timely processing of transactions, and strong communication between finance and in office leadership. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-residence environment with competing priorities.Your Day to Day:Manage daily accounting operations for senior living residencesProcess accounts payable invoices and prepare payment runsMonitor accounts receivable, resident billing, collections follow-up, and resident account inquiriesMaintain accurate resident accounts including move-ins, move-outs,



and suite transfersPerform monthly bank reconciliationsPrepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentationAssist with month-end close and account reconciliation activitiesCoordinate with residence General Managers and operations teams regarding occupancy changes, resident charges, vendor invoices, and operational expensesMonitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue resident accountsSupport deposit tracking, cheque processing, and payment administrationEnsure accurate coding and allocation of invoices and expensesMaintain vendor records and support invoice processing accuracyAssist with year-end audit requests and preparation of working papersUtilize Yardi Voyager for AP, AR, resident billing, reconciliations, and financial reportingIdentify and elevate discrepancies or operational issues in a timely mannerSupport continuous improvement of accounting processes and workflowsAssist with ad hoc accounting and operational projects as requiredWhat You Bring to the Table:2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experienceExperience in senior living, retirement residences, healthcare, long-term care, or property management is strongly preferredExperience with resident billing and operational accounting is an assetHands-on experience with Yardi Voyager is strongly preferredDiploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferredStrong understanding of AP, AR, reconciliations, and core accounting processesProficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systemsStrong attention to detail and high level of accuracyExcellent communication and follow-up skillsAbility to work collaboratively with operational teamsStrong customer service mindset when dealing with residents and familiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentProfessional, dependable, and team-oriented approachStrong problem-solving and time management abilitiesDon't hold back!- apply today, even if you do not tick every skill list.
