Join Standard BioTools as a Mechanical Engineer II and lead the design of groundbreaking health instrument technologies. This hands-on role is based in Markham, ON, and is pivotal for R&D; innovation.
You will work as a core mechanical designer on our advanced research platform, overseeing the design process from concept through to production. A strong background in mechanical engineering, including 5+ years of product development experience, is essential. Your work will require you to integrate seamlessly with manufacturing and supply chain teams.
Key Responsibilities: • Execute mechanical design on instrumentation modules • Create SolidWorks assemblies, parts,
and BOMs • Collaborate with teams across disciplines for integrated solutions • Manage design release processes and documentation • Develop and conduct testing for mechanical systems
Requirements: • B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field • Robust skills in SolidWorks PDM and design processes • Expertise in GD&T; and tolerance analysis • Proven experience in prototyping and debugging • Excellent communication for technical documentation
