Montessori Toddler Directress

Kinderhuis Montessori is looking to grow our Toddler Team with a Certified Montessori Guide.

Kinderhuis Montessori is a well-established, CCMA-accredited Montessori school offering authentic Montessori programs for children 12 months to 6 years of age. We are committed to creating an environment filled with learning, support, guidance, and joy for our students, families, and staff.

We are looking for an experienced Montessori professional who genuinely shares our school values and is passionate about supporting the development of young children. The ideal candidate will have strong classroom management, excellent communication and organizational skills, and a warm, positive, and professional approach.

Our Toddler Guide should be comfortable communicating with parents, collaborating with fellow educators, and thoughtfully guiding children through their daily experiences. We are looking for someone who is committed to nurturing and inspiring each child's intellectual, emotional, social, and physical potential while supporting their growing independence.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and maintain a self-directed, stimulating, peaceful, and inclusive Montessori environment that meets the individual needs of each child.
- Guide children with patience, kindness, respect, and consistency while fostering independence and confidence.
- Maintain open, positive, and professional communication with parents and families.
- Work collaboratively and respectfully with fellow staff members to create a cohesive classroom and school environment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, inviting, and hygienic classroom by ensuring Montessori materials are properly cared for and the environment is disinfected daily.
- Observe and respond to the social,



emotional, intellectual, and physical needs of each child.
- Model calm, respectful, and positive behaviour at all times.
- Support children's development through purposeful Montessori lessons, observation, and individualized guidance.
- Maintain professionalism and uphold the values and standards of Kinderhuis Montessori.

Qualifications
- MACTE-accredited Montessori Diploma required.
- Minimum 3 years of Montessori classroom experience, preferably with toddlers.
- Experience working with children in the 12–36 month age range is an asset.
- Solid understanding of Montessori philosophy and practice.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team member.
- Warm, patient, respectful, and professional approach to working with young children and families.

Requirements
- Proficient in the English language.
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR Level C.
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
- Up-to-date immunizations as required for childcare employment.
- Current two-step TB test.
