We are looking for a senior underground mining professional, ideally with exposure to Deswik software. You will have experience in operational mine planning (design and scheduling), feasibility studies, optimisation strategies, and general mine projects.Working with our high-performing Consulting Team, this role will see you:Work with Deswik’s highly specialised mine planning software products across multiple customers, commodities, mine types and operationsProvide extensive consulting services including mine design, production planning and scheduling, cost modelling for feasibility studies, operational optimisation projects and mine closure planningDeliver advanced engineering efficiency to the mining industry through customised software, consulting and training solutionsWork alongside highly experienced engineers, geologists and software professionalsMentor early-career mining engineersWhat’s in it for you?The opportunity to become an expert Deswik userA competitive salary between CAD130,000 - CAD180,000 (dependent on experience) and annual bonusThe opportunity to join our amazing Deswik community where we have fun adapting quickly,

We’re run by engineers who ‘get it’ and are dedicated to fostering a positive work environment for our teamsWhat you need to succeed:Degree in Mining Engineering7+ years’ experience in underground mining as a Mining EngineerOperational experience in site-based rolesExcellent mine planning software skills (Deswik software a distinct advantage)Demonstrated experience in feasibility studies, mine planning and optimisation strategies, schedule optimisation and schedulingA flair for consulting and managing customer relationshipsExcellent communications skills, both written and verbalA passion for innovation and a desire to grow and learnP.Eng or PE designation would be beneficial but not essentialIf you are looking for a highly technical Sudbury-based mining consulting role, we would love to hear from you.
