Salary Range:$61,058.01 To $64,400.92 AnnuallyReports to:PrincipalPosition SummaryAs a member of the Bayfield School team, this individual will provide instruction to the children and youth of Bayfield in accordance with the regulations, policies, and practices of the Ministry of Education and the expectations of the Bayfield organization.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesKnowledge and ability to perform tasks related to the resident’s admission and placement in the specific program being managed.Daily psychosocial, behavioural and skill-related assessment of the resident’s activities and program related tasks.In consultation with the Principal, Clinical Department, and other team members, design and implement individual and group curriculums, treatment plans and objectives for residents and to incorporate these into the daily routine of each specific program.Formulate and maintain a learning and therapeutic alliance with students.Prepare the students to learnMaintain a safe and pleasant environment for students.Plan and implement current curriculums based on Ministry of Education guidelines or non-guideline courses as requiredAssist the students in learning acceptable social behaviour.Maintain a positive learning environment.Prepare students to participate and function in community learning based activities.Carry out approved Plans of Care and Treatment Plans.Participate in team and inter team approach in the treatment of students served.Participate in case management meetings for assigned students in the day programs.Completion of daily behaviour logs, incident reports, and other documentation as requested by the end of the school dayCompletion of Progress notes as deemed necessaryCompletion of mid-semester and semester end school reportsPrepare Client Progress Notes for Plans of Care and R.P.A.C.
