12 months, 2080 hours, (7:00 - 3:30, Monday through Friday)$69,000 - $82,000The Great Valley School District is seeking a dedicated and professional HVAC Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for the daily operation of all HVAC systems, which includes heating and cooling loops, AHU's, VAV's, Heat Pumps, Chillers, Cooling Towers, VFDs, boilers, pumps, FCU's, ventilation, humidity controls, thermostats, BAS controls and systems, unit heaters, wall units, refrigerants, and associated ductwork, piping, valves, and wiring.ResponsibilitiesPerform daily work orders via the CMMS work order system by priority and urgencyRespond to daily emergencies and after-hours emergencies as they arise and work on resolving them in a timely and efficient manner. Overtime may be necessary.Assist the Supervisor of Facilities in developing and maintaining a preventative maintenance schedule for all building HVAC systems internally and externallyMake repairs on all HVAC systems within and outside of district buildingsComplete follow-up inspections of various work orders and maintenance jobs, and submit any and all deficiencies to the Supervisor of FacilitiesOrder materials as needed to make repairs, replacements, and installation of HVAC systemsAssist with snow removal at buildings.



Overtime may be necessary.Work with the maintenance team and head custodians to coordinate any work that ensures the building's HVAC operationAbility to work independently and as a team member to get multiple tasks and assignments completed for the school districtMake suggestions for HVAC systems improvements to the Supervisor of FacilitiesMaintain good work attendance and punctualityMaintain records, invoices, receipts, and slips of all materials or contracted services for the facilities officeResponsible for PCard consumable materials receipts and the completion of monthly statementsExcellent organizational, problem solving, critical thinking and communication skillsWorking knowledge of building automation systems and how to utilize them as a tool for energy conservationReport all safety issues to the Supervisor of Facilities and perform necessary tasks to ensure safety of building occupantsPerform other related tasks as assigned by the Supervisor of FacilitiesQualificationsHigh School Diploma, or equivalentLicensed in a trade or appropriate training or education from a technical schoolPhysical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfullyperformtheessentialfunctionsofthisjob.Reasonableaccommodationsmaybemadetoenableindividualswith disabilities to perform the essential functions.Mustbeabletohear(40decibellossmaximum),verballycommunicate,and see with near acuity of 20 inches or less with normaldepth perception, color vision, and field of vision.

Able to stoop repetitively and twist the body from a stationary position and reach. Able to push and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds and use fingers to pick, feel, reach, and grasp objects.
