Research Support Officer - Water (May start)About the roleSupervised by: Water Team Co-LeadWages: $17.60 per hourDuration of employment: 8 weeksAnticipated start date: May 18Responsibilities:Coordinating water quality monitoring.Train community members in water quality monitoring using Water Rangers TestkitsManage Water Ranger Testkits, supplies, maintenance and calibration cycles.Organize community and youth events for water quality information, training and recruitment (one per week)Maintain inventory of supplies.Contribute to a community-based science newsletterCreate a community field guideCollect water quality data from northern Great Lakes watersCreate technical report for community water quality data - showing trends and findingsCreate and present findings to community membersQualifications:Need to work on-siteHave a G2 or G class driver's licenseEarly career workerBetween 15 and 30 years of ageYou are a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident, or someone who has been officially granted refugee protection in Canada.
