Job Title: Node Developer

Rate: CAD50-CAD55/hr

- Robust Health care knowledge and with hands-on experience with AWS cloud platforms
- Design, develop and maintain scalable, secure RESTful APIs to support business and platform integration needs.
- Build robust backend services using TypeScript/Node.js, following clean coding, modular design, and reusable component principles.
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) — requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Design and document API contracts using OpenAPI/Swagger; ensure consistency, versioning, and backward compatibility.
- Implement secure API authentication and authorization using OAuth2 and JWT.
- Follow Git-based development workflows — feature branches, pull requests, and CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment.
- Collaborate with architects, QA, and product teams to translate business requirements into functional API specifications.
- Write unit and integration tests to ensure API reliability, performance, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve API issues across development, staging, and production environments.
- Optimize APIs for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Stay current with API design best practices and emerging backend technologies.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience in API development (REST/JSON) using TypeScript
- Experience with AWS cloud platforms
- Experience across the full SDLC in an Agile/Scrum environment
- Familiarity with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of API security practices (OAuth2, JWT)
- Experience with API documentation tools (Swagger/OpenAPI)
- Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases
Added Advantage:
- Knowledge of FHIR R4 — resources, profiles, and extensions
- Exposure to healthcare interoperability standards (HL7, FHIR)
- Java knowledge in addition to TypeScript
