: Under the direction of the Manager(s) of Nursing, the RN will be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, coordination and evaluation of patient care within the Pediatric Hemodialysis unit. This will include supporting and administration of hemodialysis therapy, administration of day medicine infusions, and providing clinical support of other acute care pediatric areas when needed.
Human Resources Exemption: No
Experience
- Two (2) years experience in Acute Care
- Experience in hemodialysis or continuous renal replacement therapy is an asset
- Previous experience in acute care pediatric nursing is preferred
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Other Education and Training
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
- Care of the Patient with Kidney Disease training
- Nursing diploma is acceptable
