: The Registered Nurse is responsible to the Nursing Unit Manager or Director of Nursing. The Registered Nurse is responsible for maintaining a high standard of patient care in accordance with the vision, mission and philosophy of the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region. As a member of the nursing department, the Registered Nurse has the responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive client centered care.

Education

- Emergency Nursing Certificate
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Other Education and Training

- Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
- Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable
- Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable

Other Information

- Shellbrook is located approximately 45 km west of Prince Albert

- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
