: Competent clinical practitioner assisting individuals, groups and families with health-care needs ranging from uncomplicated to complex and rapidly changing status. Demonstrates a caring approach which reflects and incorporates expertise.
Human Resources Exemption: No
Experience
- Minimum of three to five years working in an acute care setting
- Experience in critical care is an asset
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Other Education and Training
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
- Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Obtain instructor status for BCLS, ACLS, PALS, Resp. Fit Testing, TLR, WAVE
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC)
- Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale certificate (CTAS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate (BCLS)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
Competencies
- Basic - Leadership skills
- Basic - Communication skills to provide/obtain verbal and/or written opinions/advice
- Basic - Computer skills
Knowledge and Abilities
- Knowledge in clinical use of information technology
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge in principles of adult education
Other Information
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
- Proficient use of Sunrise Clinical Manager
- May be eligible for Recruitment and/or Retention Incentives
