Job DescriptionCurrent work authorization for Canada is required for all openings.You will be working on a flexible hybrid schedule as part of Fidelity’s dynamic working arrangement.The work location for this role is 483 Bay Street in Toronto until approximately late 2026, when the work location will change to the new Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway.ResponsibilitiesDevelop APIs, integration processes and execute on system flows according to technical design documentsResponsible for authoring API documentationAccountable for platform development and configuration adhering to architectural design, standards, and policiesComplete unit testsConduct performance tests as neededParticipate in deployment and release activitiesResponsible for promoting code and configuration changes through non-prod and production environmentsParticipate in enterprise change management processesWork with stakeholders to plan and coordinate middleware releasesProvide support on technical issuesResponsible for providing production support of middleware issues to internal and external teamsResponsible for engaging and following up with middleware technology platform vendors to troubleshoot issues. This is typically through tickets and account manager communicationProvide support off hours on an as needed basisWork with internal teams to understand requirements and end to end solutionsParticipate in client, vendor or project meetings to plan deliverables, report on status and collaborate in an agile working environmentProvide estimates on development work and communicate tasks effectively to project managers/product ownersQualificationsUniversity degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering,
or equivalent experience3-5 years of development experience of APIs in REST and SOAP3+ years of experience in an iPassS, ETL or ESB environmentGood knowledge of topics, queues, and event-oriented architecture conceptsWorking knowledge of JSON and XMLKnowledge in cloud, hybrid and on-prem infrastructures is an assetKnowledge of TLS, OAuth2, OIDC, SSO, JWT is an assetWhat You Will BringStrong written and verbal communication skills to communicate changes, impact and challenges to middleware customersStrong technical skills in integration technology and platforms - APIs, REST, SOAP, JMS, MQ, event brokers, iPaaS, ESBAnalytical, detail-oriented, ability to debug problems to find resolutionsAbility to work independently and as part of a team environmentGood understanding of enterprise processes, standards and policies.Results oriented and self-starterBenefitsWe believe exceptional work deserves exceptional recognition.
