Company Description Rehab First Inc. is a multidisciplinary health services provider specializing in the assessment, treatment, rehabilitation, and care of individuals with serious impairments resulting from injury or illness. Specialized practice areas include complex case management, life care planning, future care cost reporting, counselling, and cognitive speech and language assessment and treatment.

Role Description Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists at Rehab First Inc. provide client-centered assessment and treatment for individuals with diverse physical, cognitive, and psychosocial needs. In this hybrid role based in Hamilton, Niagara, Halton, Peel, Durham, Ottawa, and Kingston, team members deliver services in client homes, community settings, workplaces, educational environments, and occasionally from home, using virtual care where appropriate. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting functional assessments, developing and implementing individualized rehabilitation plans, documenting progress, and collaborating closely with other health professionals and stakeholders.

The role involves educating clients and families on rehabilitation strategies, equipment use, and injury or illness management, while supporting return-to-work,



return-to-school, or community reintegration goals. Team members also participate in case conferences, contribute to reports for insurers and legal teams, and uphold professional standards and ethical practice.

Qualifications

- Clinical expertise in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation to assess functional abilities, develop treatment plans, and support recovery.
- Clinical expertise in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation focused on physical function, mobility, pain management, and injury or illness recovery.
- Strong Communication skills to collaborate with clients, families, healthcare teams, insurers, and legal stakeholders, and to prepare clear clinical reports.
- Experience or interest in Pediatrics for working with children and youth in home, school, and community environments.
- Current registration and valuable standing with the appropriate provincial regulatory college (e.g., Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist).
- Experience in community-based practice, home care, or multidisciplinary rehabilitation settings.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel within the Durham, ON region as required.
- Proficiency with electronic documentation systems, basic computer skills, and comfort with virtual care platforms.
