This role is specifically designed to develop the successful candidate into a licensed Professional Engineer, supporting a long‑term career at Agnico Eagle. You will support operational excellence, safety, and continuous improvement while learning and growing in a dynamic mining environment.Assist with daily mine engineering tasks, including data collection, analysis, and reportingSupport mine planning, design, and scheduling activitiesCollaborate with operations, geology, and maintenance teams to optimize mine performanceParticipate in safety initiatives and promote a culture of safety and responsibilityContribute to environmental stewardship and compliance effortsEngage in continuous improvement projects and support technology adoptionLearn to use mine engineering software and toolsTake part in training and development opportunities to build your technical and leadership skillsBenefit from mentorship and guidance to progress towards professional engineering licensureWHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEEDBachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering or a related field (graduated within the last 2 years or soon to graduate)Must be based in Northern OntarioStrong analytical and problem‑solving skillsEffective communicator and team playerEager to learn, adapt, and contribute in a quick‑paced environmentCommitment to safety, environmental responsibility, and Agnico Eagle’s valuesProficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with mine planning software is an assetWillingness to work on a rotational schedule at a remote mine siteProficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BIYour Work ScheduleSchedule: 7/7 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine Northern OntarioCompensation StatementIn accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity.
