You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. Relocation packages are not available. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.Responsibilities (Position Details)Teaching up to 3 students at a time at different levelsTeaching online and in-personFollowing the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophiesFilling in post-lesson notesCompleting daily student communication updatesMaintaining a friendly and qualified manner at all timesQualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant fieldFourth year university students with extensive tutoring experience will be consideredTeaching certification an assetGood knowledge of the current Grades 9-12 math and science curriculum, particularly senior math and including, but not limited to, Advanced Functions, algebra, trigonometry and calculus, as well as vectors, physics, chemistry, and biology.ExperienceSome experience teaching/tutoring math and science at a Grade 9 to 12 (or equivalent) levelStrong English written and oral communication skillsStrong math skills and ability to guide students’ understandingAbility to multitask and balance working with up to three students at a timeJob DetailsJob Type: Part-timeSalary: $19 - $20 / hourSchedule: Evenings; Monday to Friday; Saturday availabilityAbout Oxford LearningOxford Learning is a Canadian supplemental education provider helping students get better grades since 1984.
